Art & Design is my passion

Get To
Know Me.

This isn’t just a résumé. It’s a life lived in creative motion. I’ve been a bridge-builder across sectors for decades: arts and industry, nonprofit and corporate, data and intuition, gallery and stage. My initial opportunities were on excellent creative teams with sought-after ad agencies. I cut my teeth on global programs for high-profile clients such as Virgin Air, X-Box, Coca-Cola, Minute Maid, Shell, BP, Mobile, Exxon, Texaco, Radio Shack, National Geographic, Radio Shack, Domino’s Pizza, Dell, Donna Karen, Best Buy, Swatch, Buc-ees, Sysco, Garden Ridge Pottery, Academy, National Geographic, Better Homes & Gardens, Motorola, Nokia, and more recognizable brands.

About

I build bridges between art, audience, and impact.

For more than two decades, my work has lived at the intersection of creative direction, digital strategy, and cultural leadership. I began inside the advertising agency world during the early web era—learning to code, navigating the rise and fall of the first digital bubble, and developing the resilience to adapt as industries transformed. From there, I evolved into web development, project management, and executive creative leadership, guiding interdisciplinary teams across art, technology, architecture, and marketing.

As a Creative Director, I led production artists, marketers, engineers, and sales teams—translating artistic vision into technically executable, revenue-generating strategies for global brands including Dell, ExxonMobil, Disney, National Geographic, and Best Buy. I’ve presented brand strategies to Fortune-level corporations, developed immersive 3-D sales environments, and served as liaison between architects, engineers, designers, and executives to bring complex ideas to life.

At the same time, my heart has always remained rooted in the arts.

For over a decade, I wrote theater and cultural reviews for Red Publication, championing Houston’s creative community. I have directed 70 exhibitions, advanced regional artists through strategic media campaigns, and collaborated on large-scale cultural festivals serving audiences from 8,000 to 60,000 attendees. My family and professional life have long centered around the arts ecosystem, and I believe deeply that aesthetic culture is not a luxury—it is foundational to a healthy, vibrant society.

My leadership style blends storytelling with systems thinking. I use qualitative research, focus groups, analytics, and performance data to refine strategy—but I never lose sight of the human experience behind the metrics. Whether collaborating with nonprofits, cultivating collectors, training teams in B2B communication, or coordinating fundraising and community events, my goal remains consistent: create meaningful connection and sustainable growth.

In 2016, Google invited me to serve as an official Ambassador for my city, reflecting my ongoing commitment to civic engagement and digital visibility.

I bring high energy, cross-sector fluency, and integrative leadership to every project. I believe marketing is not about noise—it is about resonance. When art, strategy, and community align, growth follows.

Let’s build something that matters.

Media & Marketing

I spent ten years working within the advertising agency environment, during a period of rapid technological change, where I learned to code and witnessed firsthand the rise and collapse of the early web economy. That experience shaped both my technical fluency and my strategic resilience. As the industry evolved, I transitioned into collaborative web development environments, expanding my creative direction into digital design and eventually into project management. My natural strength in communication, combined with hands-on expertise in technology and design, positioned me as a key liaison between account leadership, creative teams, technical developers, and media partners.

I worked across integrated marketing channels—including television, radio, video production, print, and emerging social media platforms—to ensure campaigns were strategically aligned and delivered on time and within budget. My role required translating client objectives into actionable production plans, managing cross-functional workflows, and maintaining strong media relationships to achieve measurable, results-driven outcomes.

Enterprise-level client strategy

As Creative Director, across organizations, I led interdisciplinary teams simultaneously: a large production art department of twelve artists and a senior group of professional marketers and content strategists. In addition to overseeing creative output, I provided management leadership across the art and technology division (15 team members), aligning visual innovation with technical feasibility and business objectives. I worked directly with sales leadership, frequently presenting brand strategies and product concepts to major corporate clients, and trained the customer service department in effective B2B communication to ensure consistency across all client touchpoints.

Our team developed high-level brand strategies and immersive 3-D presentations for global clients including Dell, Xbox, Nokia, Motorola, ExxonMobil, BP, Chevron, Disney, National Geographic, Sysco, Best Buy, and others. Collaborating closely with architects and engineers, we translated artistic vision into precise mechanical specifications for large-scale architectural graphics installations. Working within CAD, 3D Studio Max, and Adobe Creative Suite, we supported the development of fuel station retail environments, institutional facilities, and branded architectural spaces. My role required serving as a strategic liaison between architecture, engineering, design, and sales—ensuring that creative concepts were both structurally executable and commercially impactful.

Integrated Brands

Data Intelligence

As a Project Coordinator within the marketing department of a digital brand strategy firm, I served as a liaison between creative and technical teams, guiding projects from concept through implementation. Working closely with HTML, PHP, and MySQL developers, I deepened my understanding of database architecture and digital infrastructure while ensuring brand strategy translated seamlessly into functional digital experiences. I partnered with clients including New Balance, KRTS Classical Radio 92.1FM Houston, the City of Galveston, the City of Houston, Glass Tire, the Museum District Houston, and Rolls-Royce—supporting campaigns that required both creative storytelling and technical precision.

My role integrated qualitative and quantitative research methodologies: conducting focus groups and user interviews, analyzing server analytics, and documenting performance data to inform strategic refinement. I regularly led review meetings to present findings, assess campaign performance, and adjust strategies to optimize audience acquisition and engagement. This experience strengthened my ability to maintain strong client relationships and to move complex projects efficiently through each phase of the development cycle, while balancing innovation, accountability, and measurable results.

An Artful Life

My entire career has centered around championing the Houston arts scene—whether through professional roles or extensive volunteer work. For more than a decade, I have actively supported and promoted local theater, galleries, and cultural institutions, not only as a writer and marketer but as a deeply engaged member of the arts community. My social and professional worlds have always intertwined around creative expression, especially theater arts. I spent ten years immersed in the art gallery environment, where I witnessed firsthand how visual and performing arts shape community identity and individual well-being. Both of my children are graduates of HSPVA, and my own education began in an arts-focused high school before completing my studies—experiences that reinforced my lifelong belief that aesthetic culture is not a luxury, but an essential part of a healthy and beautiful life. This perspective informs my marketing philosophy: when we promote the arts, we are not simply selling tickets—we are inviting people into meaningful experiences that elevate community health, creativity, and connection. My marketing background allows me to translate that conviction into strategic campaigns that expand reach, deepen engagement, and strengthen long-term audience loyalty.

A Love Of Volunteering

Over the years, I have been grateful for the opportunity to volunteer alongside a wide range of nonprofit organizations throughout Houston. From literacy initiatives and public broadcasting to health advocacy and community arts programs, these experiences have deepened my commitment to service and reinforced my belief that strong cultural ecosystems are built through collective effort. Contributing my time to organizations such as the Houston Public Library, the Arthritis Foundation, the American Red Cross, and local arts and community groups has been both a privilege and an ongoing education in how communities thrive when people show up for one another.

I have had the honor of volunteering my time with many nonprofit organizations over the years, including the Mahatma Gandhi Library, the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation, and M.D. Anderson Children’s Project, M.D. Anderson Boot Walk, Alzheimer’s Association, 90.1 FM Pacifica, KUHF Channel 8, Houston Heights Association, United Methodist Church, YMCA, DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids), National Breast Cancer Foundation, Global ministries UMC, Girls In Tech, United Nations Foundation’s Nothing But Nets, Generosity Culture, Undies For Everyone, United Way, and The Houston Center For Hearing and Speech.

Collaborative Leadership | Strategic Impact

I consistently sat at the intersection of art, strategy, people, and systems. I have a rare strategic fluency across creative, technical, nonprofit, and corporate worlds. I don’t just market culture, I understand how culture is built.

I have collaborated on large-scale cultural and community events, working directly with clients and cross-functional teams to build strategic marketing and audience engagement plans. These initiatives have ranged from regional arts festivals to national educational programs, including India Fest Cultural Festival (15,000 attendees), Visionary Noise Records showcases (15,000 attendees), Via Colori Art Festival (60,000 attendees), Mahatma Gandhi Library programming (50,000 attendees), Thousand Lights for Peace (8,000+ attendees), For The Community Music and Art Festival (8,000 attendees), and national Robotics Summer Science Camps. I have also contributed to high-visibility local events such as the Epicurean Market, Houston Heights Pet Festival, the Historic Houston Heights Holiday Home Tour, and White Linen Nights. Through these collaborations, I developed strategic messaging, strengthened sponsor and community partnerships, and helped create cohesive brand experiences designed to elevate attendance, engagement, and long-term audience loyalty.

Non Profit Sector

Throughout my career, I have collaborated closely with nonprofit organizations to strengthen visibility, sustainability, and community impact. I have planned and coordinated fundraising events that not only met financial goals but deepened donor engagement and institutional loyalty. My work has included developing systems for quality control and continuous improvement to ensure operational excellence across programming and communications. I have advanced regional artists through authentic, story-driven media campaigns that amplify their voices while strategically expanding audience reach. By cultivating collectors and strengthening partnerships between artists, patrons, and institutions, I have helped build ecosystems that support long-term cultural vitality. Over the course of directing 70 exhibitions, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of audience development, brand positioning, and the careful orchestration required to bring artistic vision into successful public experience.

Content Ambassador

For more than two decades, I have pursued photography, freelance writing, and blogging in service of causes and communities I believe in. Throughout that time, I have written hundreds of press releases supporting volunteer organizations and civic initiatives, helping amplify their missions through clear, compelling storytelling. I have organized and supported a wide range of public-facing events—including convention-style corporate gatherings, live music productions, educational advocacy efforts, outdoor markets, fundraising initiatives, community theater performances, and art openings—each requiring thoughtful coordination, messaging strategy, and stakeholder alignment.

In 2016, I was invited by Google to serve as an official Ambassador for my city, a distinction I am honored to continue holding. This recognition reflects my longstanding commitment to civic engagement, digital literacy, and community visibility.

Professional Photography

In addition to my marketing and cultural leadership work, I have contributed professionally as a photographer, with my work appearing in national publications and on magazine covers, including American Bungalow, Better Homes & Gardens, Houstonian, HGTV, MODLUX, and Texas House & Home. Through visual storytelling, I helped position leaders in historic home renovation as both preservationists and innovators. I also implemented a sustainability-focused engagement strategy to foster deeper connection within their community, strengthening brand loyalty while reinforcing shared values around heritage, design, and responsible stewardship. These experiences strengthened my understanding of how strong imagery and mission-driven messaging work together to elevate both brand presence and community identity.
